CARE GIVERS SUPPORT GROUP

WE CARE FOR THE CARE GIVERS!

Caring for someone with a disability or chronic illness can be a rewarding experience. It can also be lonely, boring, frustrating, frightening and stressful. Do you know of a safe place where you can express your feelings?

WE HAVE A PLACE FOR YOU!

A person who has never had the experience of caring for another adult who depends on his or her help to meet the basic needs of life may not understand the problems you face every day. Have you met others who are also caring for chronically ill or disabled adult?

WE HAVE PEOPLE FOR YOU!

When you are busy taking care of the needs of another, it can be difficult to find the time to read, talk on the telephone or watch TV. You may not hear about new ideas, services or products which could help you accomplish daily tasks more easily.

WE HAVE INFORMATION FOR YOU!

The support group is a place to learn about the resources available to you. Members help each other by sharing ideas and practical solutions to problems that you face daily. Rehabilitation professionals from Magee Rehabilitation bring to the group expertise in supporting care givers and in accessing available community resources.

Call the Magee Rehabline at 1-800-96-MAGEE if you would like to receive more information about the Care Givers Support Group at Magee.
