Jeanne G. Doherty, MD, joined the medical staff in January 2000. She received her BS in Biology at Saint Joseph's University and earned her MD at Georgetown University. She completed her internal medicine internship at Pennsylvania Hospital and completed her residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
She is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the National Stroke Association and Philadelphia International Medicine. She also enjoys her work as a volunteer member of the Guillain Barre Foundation and Action Aids. She has published in "The Journal of Spinal Cord Medicine," and is actively involved in research activities.
She acts as a consultant in general rehabilitation at skilled nursing facilities in Philadelphia and New Jersey. She enjoys teaching medical students and residents through lecturing and as Clinical Instructor for the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Thomas Jefferson Medical College.
She has a special interest in neuromuscular disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, brain injury and geriatric rehabilitation. "I enjoy working as a member of the Magee Rehabilitation team. I find it very satisfying interacting with my patients and helping them to define and achieve their goals.
