BENEFITS OVERVIEW
Magee Rehabilitation offers its staff members a competitive benefits package. Eligibility begins on the 1st of the month following the date-of-hire. Dependents are covered up to the age of 19, full-time students up to the age of 23. Magee staff members may choose from three medical insurance plans: JeffPlus Personal Choice PPO, JeffPlus Keystone HMO and JeffPlus Aetna HMO. Through JeffPlus, all health plans offer additional cost savings when you receive healthcare within the Jefferson Health System. Dental Coverage - In addition to the three medical plan options, Magee offers staff members the choice of two dental plans: the DeltaPreferred Program or the Aetna DMO. Prescription Plan - Magee Rehabilitation has implemented a 3-tier formulary co-pay plan for prescriptions filled at a licensed retail pharmacy (a 34-day supply) or through mail order (a 90-day supply). You also have the option of having your prescription filled at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH) outpatient pharmacy. The TJUH outpatient pharmacy offers a 2-tier formulary program for 34-day and 90-day prescriptions. The co-pays using this program are less than using the retail or mail-order programs. In addition, you have the choice of dropping your prescription off at the Magee Pharmacy and having it returned to you filled the next day or walking into one of the Jefferson Pharmacies to have it personally filled. Life Insurance - Group term life insurance coverage (one 1X your annual base salary) is provided for all full-time, benefits eligible staff members. This coverage also includes an Accidental Death and Dismemberment clause. Short Term Disability - Magee’s Short Term Disability Plan is designed to partially replace income lost during periods of total disability from a covered non-occupational injury or illness. Benefits start after 13 weeks of total disability and all sick time has been exhausted. The benefit is 60% of weekly salary with a maximum of $300 per week. STD will be paid from the 14th through the 26th week of absence. Long Term Disability - The Long Term Disability Plan is designed to provide a monthly payment equal to 50% of a staff member’s salary up to $5,000.00 per month (less any social security benefits). Payment begins after being totally disabled for six months and insurance company approval. Retirement Plan - Magee provides eligible staff members with a defined benefit pension plan that offers 100% vesting after five years of service. Paid Holidays - All regular, full-time staff members are entitled to six legal holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Paid Time Off - Paid Time Off days range from 15 to 27 days per year depending upon position and length of service. Sick Time All full-time, regular staff members accrue 10 sick days per year. Funeral Leave - All full-time, regular staff members are entitled to up to three days off with pay for the death of certain family members. Regular part-time staff members who are regularly scheduled to work more than 20 hours per week are allowed one day off with regular pay. Jury Duty - All full-time, regular staff members will receive their regular paycheck when their jury duty check has been signed over to Magee. Tuition Assistance - Maximum annual reimbursement for undergraduate courses is $2,500 per calendar year. For graduate level courses the annual maximum amount is $5,000 per calendar year. FirstCALL - FirstCALL, Magee’s Employee Assistance Program provider, offers confidential and private consultation to you and your family on a broad range of personal and emotional issues. Professional counselors can help you deal with such concerns as job pressures, family and relationship worries, parenting issues, death of a loved one, financial or legal troubles, substance abuse or other concerns. Carebridge - Carebridge addresses such issues as childcare, eldercare, personal financial management, parenting, school options for you children, relocation, college planning, time and stress management, adoption guidance and much more. Employee Recognition Programs - Magee offers three Employee Recognition Programs: Suggest the Best, Employee of the Month and a Service Award Program. Medical Library - Magee staff members have access to our Medical Library located on the 3rd floor of the hospital. Voluntary Benefits - In addition to the list of benefits proved by Magee, our staff members have the option of participating in the following voluntary benefits. Direct Deposit - Have your biweekly paycheck automatically deposited to your checking or savings account. You also have the option of splitting your paycheck between accounts. Credit Union - Loans, savings and checking accounts, credit cards, holiday and vacation clubs and much more are available through SB-1 Federal Credit Union or the National Business Association Credit Union. Tax Deferred Annuities - On a pre-tax basis, save for retirement up to the annual maximum amount allowed by law. Group Legal Plan - Magee offers a voluntary group legal plan through Countrywide Pre-Paid Legal Services. For a low monthly fee, this plan makes legal services available and affordable to you when the need arises and provides personal legal protection for you and your family. Short Term Disability Insurance - In addition to the Short Term Disability Program offered by Magee, staff members may participate in a voluntary short term disability insurance program provided through Provident Life and Accident Insurance Company. Life Insurance - Magee staff members may purchase additional term life insurance through payroll deduction. Vision Insurance - This voluntary program through Vision Benefits of America provides for coverage for exams and lenses when you use a Network provider. Long-Term Care Insurance - Voluntary long-term care insurance is available through TIAA-CREF. SEPTA - Monthly transpasses/trailpasses are available for purchase at a 10% discount in the Human Resources Department. In addition, five packs of tokens are available for purchase weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the Human Resources Department. |
