Popular Sports Radio Talk Show Host Donates Proceeds from Bobblehead Sales to Magee

Philadelphia, PA – WIP 610 AM’s Howard Eskin raised a whopping $40,200 from sales of his limited-edition “King of Bling” bobbleheads. This is the second series of the popular bobbleheads that bear the likeness of the longtime sports radio talk show host donned in a fur coat. All money raised from the bobblehead series was donated to three local organizations, including Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, which will use the funds to benefit programs and services for patients at the Hospital.

Eskin recently presented three checks of $13,400 to representatives from Magee and two other charities—The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and The Terri Lynne Lokoff Foundation—at WIP’s studio in Bala Cynwyd, Pa.

Last month, WIP’s listeners and others had the chance to purchase two different Series 2 King of Bling Bobbleheads: The Bobblehead Basic Chip ($17.95) and the King of Bling Bobblehead with Genuine Diamond Chip ($250). Individuals who purchased a bobblehead received a $100 gift certificate from Bernie Robbins Fine Jewelry and had a one in 100 chance of getting a genuine diamond chip.
