Philadelphia, Pa. – Magee Rehabilitation Hospital recently named Parvati Thiru, M.D., to its staff of physicians. Dr. Thiru will work as a hospitalist and internal medicine consultant. She comes to Magee from Albert Einstein Hospital, where she was an attending physician.

Dr. Thiru is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and attended medical school at Annamalai University, India, where she ranked at the top of her class in forensic medicine.

Dr. Thiru has a doctor’s license in the states of Pennsylvania and California and a physician DEA license in the state of Pennsylvania. She is also licensed and qualified to practice medicine in India. She is a member of the American Medical Association.

“My mother was at Magee so I saw the dedication and excellent care extended to her by the physicians and staff of the Hospital,” says Dr. Thiru. “I consider myself extremely fortunate to have this wonderful opportunity to render service to all the patients at Magee. I feel my mother’s spirit with me when I see the patients at Magee, and look forward to helping them as much as I can.”
