Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Names New Vice President of Clinical Operations
Magee Rehabilitation Hospital recently named Robert W. Kautzman of Phoenix, Arizona, as Vice President of Clinical Operations. Among his responsibilities, he is in charge of directing the nurses, therapists and other professional care providers at Magee. "I am excited to have the opportunity to join the team at Magee and optimize my years of experience and leadership influence.", said Kautzman. "My goal is to help create an organizational culture of individual commitment and success for those I have the privilege of leading. That goal will result in furthering Magee’s solid reputation and excellent outcomes for those we serve in rehabilitation." Kautzman has 26 years of rehabilitation hospital experience. He comes to Magee from St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona., where he was the Manager of the Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit. He managed approximately 120 staff members in the areas of nursing, inpatient therapies, pre-admissions, and spinal cord and head trauma rehab programs. From 1995 to 1999, he was the Manager of the Rehabilitation Center and Physician Services at Altru Health Systems in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Prior to that, he spent six years as the Associate Executive Director of Rehabilitation Nursing Services at the Medical Center Rehabilitation Hospital (which later became part of Altru Health Systems), a free-standing rehab facility in Grand Forks. Since 1994, Kautzman has served as a surveyor for the Commission of the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Kautzman received a Master’s degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of North Dakota. |
