Magee Rehab Nurse Trains for Triathlon

Bill McAndrew, 3-11 General Rehab Nurse on the third floor at Magee, is spending his free time training for the triathlon in April 2007. Inspired by his cousin Nick, who is now in remission from leukemia, Bill volunteered for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society last year and ran his first marathon with Team in Training. This year, his goal is to raise $5,000 and complete his first triathlon as part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training, the world’s largest endurance sports training program.

The money raised will be used for local patients in the Philadelphia area for financial aid, education, and clinical research. No donation is too small. We are asking for your help to support Bill in reaching his goal. Please go to http://www.active.com/donate/tntepa/billymc where you can view Bill’s web page. Donations may be made via cash or check made out to “The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society” and given to Bill or you may donate online.
