Magee ranked Number 14 among nation’s top rehabilitation hospitals in U.S. News & World Report’s annual survey
Magee Rehabilitation Hospital continues its progression in U.S. News & World Report’s America’s leading hospitals ranking. In the publication’s 18th annual “America’s Best Hospitals” edition that hit newsstands on July 16, Magee moved from 15th to 14th place in this year’s ranking of rehabilitation hospitals across the country. Based on a survey of physicians, U.S. News & World Report listed just 173 hospitals in 16 specialties. The rankings add to Magee’s reputation as a premier rehabilitation hospital. Hospitals are ranked based on a rolling three-year survey of randomly selected board-certified physicians in each specialty. Physicians are asked to list hospitals in their specialty without considering cost or location. Jack A Carroll, Ph.D., M.H.A., Magee’s President/CEO, says the ranking is a testament to the exceptional physicians, therapists, nurses, and staff at Magee who strive each day to improve the quality of life of people with physical and cognitive disabilities. “Serving the patients and families who choose Magee Rehabilitation is a privilege for all of us,” says Carroll. “The choice of where care will be given will be one of the most important decisions that a patient or family member will ever make. When that choice is Magee, we pledge ‘nothing less than our best.’ We are very proud that U.S. News and World Report has once again recognized Magee and noted the difference that caring can make.” |
