The Mid-Atlantic Region’s top wheelchair athletes will compete in the 2007 Philadelphia Wheelchair Tennis Tournament on Aug. 10-12 at the Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club. The club has donated use of its facility for the tournament and practice wheelchair tennis sessions each Sunday for more than 15 years.The event draws wheelchair athletes from across the east coast, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and other states. The Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club is located at 1820 Old Cuthbert Road in Cherry Hill. The event will take place on Aug. 10 from 4-9 p.m., Aug. 11 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., and on Aug. 12 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The Magee Freedoms Wheelchair Tennis Team, sponsored by Magee Rehabilitation Hospital and the Philadelphia Freedoms of World TeamTennis, are one of the hosts of the event.
