Magee Hospital Vice President named to Advisory Board of National Transplant Assistance Fund
NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. – Ronald W. Siggs, of West Chester, has been named to the Advisory Board of the National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF). Based in Newtown Square, the national non-profit organization helps patients’ support networks raise funds to help provide crucial assistance to patients and families facing issues of organ transplantation and catastrophic injury. Siggs serves as vice president of development and public relations for Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia, where he has worked for the last 12 years. In his position at Magee, Siggs is responsible for development, public relations and the hospital’s Think First initiative, a community education and injury prevention program. Also, he is involved in all aspects of corporate communications and strategic planning as it relates to development and public relations. “I look forward to lending my support to the National Transplant Assistance Fund as the organization continues to educate the public about organ transplants, and raise funds to help those in need,” says Siggs. Siggs formerly served on the Board of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, Greater Philadelphia Chapter. He is a member of the Community Impact Committee, Network Relations Committee and the Marketing Committee of the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Alpha Inc. at the University of Pennsylvania and serves as a member of the Special Gifts Committee of Paoli Presbyterian Church. He also serves on the faculty of the Fundamentals of Fund Raising course at Villanova University and the Grass Roots Organization Development Education Program, both sponsored by the Association of Fund Raising Professionals. A certified fund raising executive, Siggs earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and his Masters of
Management degree from Penn State University. |
