Philadelphia (July 2002)—Magee Rehabilitation is rated one of America’s leading hospitals in U.S. News & World Report’s 13th annual “America’s Best Hospitals” ranking. Based on a survey of physicians, the publication lists 205 top medical centers from a total of 6,045 in 17 specialties. The publication says this list “…is a good place to start the search for the level of care you or a loved one deserve when it is most needed.”

According to U.S. News & World Report, “Ranked hospitals tend to adhere more closely to advanced treatment guidelines, to incorporate new findings in patient care, and to conduct research that gives desperately ill patients more options.” The survey of physicians was conducted for U.S. News & World Report by the National Opinion Research Center, a not-for-profit corporation affiliated with the University of Chicago.

Magee ranked 42nd in the category of rheumatology, one of the many disciplines in which Magee’s staff have demonstrated clinical expertise and caregiver excellence.
