Magee Humanitarian Award Dinner raises over $90,000 for Magee patient programs

Scores of prominent business, civic and community leaders were among over 300 guests who honored Nick and Eileen DeBenedictis. A special video message from Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge was one of many highlights during the evening. Gov. Ridge thanked and congratulated Nick and Eileen for their years of advocacy on behalf of the disabled community.

Chairpersons of the Magee Humanitarian Award Dinner Committee were: Morton W. Rimerman, Walter D’Alessio, President and CEO of Legg Mason Real Estate Services, G. Fred DiBona, President and CEO of Independence Blue Cross, David F. Girard-diCarlo, Managing Partner of Blank Rome Comisky & McCauley and Charles P. Pizzi, President of Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. Each praised Nick and Eileen for their work on behalf of people with disabilities.

Lewis, CEO, Jefferson Health System, George Nise, CEO, Beneficial Savings Bank, Dr. Constantine Papadakis, President, Drexel University, Richard Smoot, President/CEO, PNC Bank, Michael Sonderby, CEO, Deloitte & Touche, Harold A. Sorgenti, President, Sorgenti Investment Partners, and Dr. John Templeton, President, Templeton Foundation.
