Dr. Jeanne Doherty offering physiatry services at Magee-MossRehab at Voorhees

Voorhees, NJ (November 2000)--Dr. Jeanne Doherty, a physiatrist at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, is now offering her services every Monday at Magee-MossRehab at Voorhees. Magee-MossRehab at Voorhees, an outpatient satellite of two of the region’s leading medical rehabilitation centers, offers the same quality of care that MossRehab and Magee Rehabilitation are known for, all in the convenience of a community-based setting.

As a physiatrist, Dr. Doherty works to restore the functional skills, self-sufficiency and mobility of people with temporary or permanent disabilities. These disabilities may range from minor sports injuries to more complex conditions such as paraplegia. She is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Dr. Doherty received her BS in Biology at Saint Joseph’s University and earned her MD at Georgetown University. She completed her internal medicine internship at Pennsylvania Hospital and finished her residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the National Stroke Association and Philadelphia International Medicine. Dr. Doherty is also a volunteer member of the Guillain Barre Foundation and Action Aids.

In addition to treating patients at Magee facilities in Philadelphia and Voorhees, she cares for inpatients at Methodist Hospital. She is also a consultant in general rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and in brain injury at Wills Eye Hospital. She teaches medical students and residents as Clinical Instructor for the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Thomas Jefferson Medical College.
