Dan Sullivan, hireAbility executive, receives EPVA Access Award

Philadelphia (November 2000)-- Dan Sullivan, Executive Director of hireAbility at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, recently received the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association (EPVA) Access Award at the Penn Tower Hotel. The presentation was part of the Fifth Annual Access Achievement Awards Breakfast hosted by the EPVA and the Mayor’s Commission on People with Disabilities.

Mr. Sullivan, a Pennsauken resident, is committed to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities. He has been a life-long advocate who always strives to convey the concept of the Americans with Disabilities Act to the community, in both his personal and professional life. He has served on numerous government boards, playing a key role in assisting government entities in meeting their ADA obligations. Mr. Sullivan serves as Executive Director of hireAbility, an agency headquartered at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital that helps match qualified persons with disabilities with employers.

EPVA, one of the 35 chapters of the Paralyzed Veterans of America, was founded in 1946 and has more than 2,200 members in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. EPVA is dedicated to enhancing the lives of veterans with spinal cord injury or disease by assuring quality healthcare, promoting research and advocating for civil rights and independence.
