Support TEAM MAGEE in the 2013 Philadelphia Marathon and Half Marathon to Benefit Magee's Wheelchair Sports Program

7:00 a.m., Sunday, November 17th, 2013

The course begins in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, just feet from the Rocky Statue and steps where the most famous run in Philly ended. The Marathon and Half-Marathon routes allow runners to experience a blend of downtown Philly, University City, and Historic Philadelphia including sites such as the Betsy Ross House, Independence Hall, and the Liberty Bell.

Magee is currently selling bibs for the 2013 Philadelphia Marathon!

2013 Philadelphia Marathon Information:

$600 Fundraising Commitment to join Team Magee includes:


  • Official entry for the 2013 Philadelphia Full or Half Marathon
  • Team Magee racing singlet 
  •  Free parking at16th and Race Street, just blocks away from the Marathon's start (subject to availably)
  • Runner-friendly pre-race continental breakfast at Magee for you and three guests.
  •  Hotel rooms at Sheraton Philadelphia City Center at discounted rate (subject to availably)

Everyone can support Magee by sponsoring one or more of the Team Magee runners. Or, if you want to be part of Team Magee, but do not want to run in the Marathon or Half Marathon, join the Let Them Run Team. Pledge $1 for every mile in a Full Marathon ($26.20) to join and support the runners of Team Magee on race day!

How Your Registration supports Magee's Wheelchair Sports Programs:

Magee Rehabilitation has a long history of supporting the local community of individuals with disabilities. Magee's Wheelchair Sports Program heightens independence and improves quality-of-life. Getting involved with Magee's wheelchair sports program helps people with disabilities reach for personal health and wellness goals. The Wheelchair Sports Program also allows the participant to experience the enjoyment and excitement of competing.

Benefits include:

  • Improved fitness and overall health through physical activity 
  •  Increased opportunities for social contact among peers, resulting in enhanced social skills 
  •  Increased self-esteem and confidence 
  •  Adaptation to disability through interaction with peers and role models 
  •  Leisure counseling 
  •  Leisure education

  • Magee athletes have competed in regional, national and international sports events, including the Paralympics. Although some of our athletes compete at an elite level, Magee welcomes all individuals with disabilities who are looking for a recreational outlet. The overall goal of the entire program is to improve quality of life by emphasizing a healthy lifestyle through regular physical fitness activities.



    A hand-cycle was provided for athlete use by the IM ABLE Foundation.
