A sport unlike any other; Magee Eagles Quad Rugby is as competitive as it is intense! Players collide, literally, as the teams of four scramble to push a volleyball down a basketball court through their opponents zone and across the goal line. Competition is limited to athletes with impairments to both lower and upper limbs and each person is given a point value based on their level of functioning. Teams may only field a certain point total at any given time during the game's four periods. Play is fast-paced and rough as the players skillfully navigate modified wheelchairs around the court and into one another. Practices are held Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm-9 pm (Sept.-May) at Carousel House (corner of Belmont Ave.& Avenue of the Republic, Philadelphia PA 19131).

Beast of the East Quad Rugby Tournament 2012

Magee hosts the 23rd Annual Beast of the East Quad Rugby Tournament on Friday, November 9 through Sunday, November 11, 2012. 

Come and support your favorite wheelchair rugby team as they compete against some fierce competition. This is one of the biggest wheelchair rugby events of the year, so don't miss out on this opportunity to see the teams in action!  The two-day tournament will be held at the Riverwinds Community Center in West Deptford, NJ.

USQRA Sectionals 2012
Our own Magee Eagles hosted the USQRA Sectionals Quad Rugby Tournament from March 23-25, 2012. Check out the schedule of games. The tournament took place at Evesham Township Recreation Center, located at 1004 Tuckerton Rd., Marlton, NJ 08053.

Beast of the East 2011
