The Rec Fest is for persons with and without physical limitations. Come learn and participate in many fun including scuba diving, rock climbing, wheelchair rugby, and handcycling. The Rec Fest is a fundraiser event to raise money for organizations providing services for the disabled in the community. This is a free event must you must register on the website beforehand. A variety of special events, road trips and no cost sport clinics are arranged periodically. Used as an introduction to adapted sports and healthy lifestyles, these monthly sport clinics are the perfect opportunity to try something new. Past clinics have included kayaking, swimming, golf, tennis and cycling. Check back often to see what's coming up and bring a friend. YMCA of the Brandywine Valley
The West Chester Area YMCA has hosted the Magee Spokesmen, a wheelchair basketball team sponsored by Magee Rehab and the 76ers. Organized by Jimmy Falls, the guys led a series of drills. A good time was had by all.
Cycling Season

Come out to the PAR Boathouse on Saturdays starting April 14th and going until October for some tandem and hand-cycling.

Back by popular demand the PA Center for Adapted Sports is returning to Chester County for a day of cycling and outdoor fun. There will be many types of bikes available for you to try: recumbents, tandems and hand cycles. There is nothing like a day with fresh air in your lungs and the wind in your hair. So, join us to find out which bike you like. The Chester County location of this event is still to be determined. Kayaking
Marsh Creek State Park
Date: June 24
On June 24, a group of enthusiastic paddlers, with and without disabilities, will meet at Marsh Creek State Park for an outdoor paddle. This activity is run by the PA Center for Adapted Sports and prior kayak training is required for participation. Contact Paul Dice at p.dice@centeronline.com to register or for more information.
