On Tuesday, December 8, Anne Klein Communications Group presented the Anne Sceia Klein Professional Promise award to former Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Public Relations Intern Darrah Foster, a Public Relations and Journalism student at Rowan University. Foster interned at Magee during the spring and summer semesters of 2011.

Given annually, the Professional Promise award began in 2007 in honor of the firms 25th anniversary.
Foster, 27 years old, is president of the Anthony J. Fulginiti Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSSA), a member of the communications honor society Lambda Pi Eta (LPH), and recently held a summer internship at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia.

During her internship at Magee, Foster contributed to Magee  public relations campaigns by working on press releases and distribution, newsletters, the CanDo! magazine, and several facets of social media, resulting in Magee winning the Philadelphia Business Journal 2011 Healthcare Innovation ғNew Media  Award.
ԓI worked very hard to get to this point in my college career, and am honored and grateful for Anne Klein picking me,  said Foster after receiving the award. ԓI look forward to graduating and contributing to the public relations profession.

"The Professional Promise Award could not have gone to a more worthy person," said Magee Rehab Hospital's  Director of Public Relations, Kerry O'Connor. "Rowan University has supplied me with exceptional public relations interns and Darrah raises the bar for those who will come after. It was a privilege to work with her. I'm very proud of her, and am honored that her time in Magee's Public Relations Department has contributed in a small way to her success. She certainly contributed to ours."

Foster will graduate in May, 2012 cum laude from Rowan.
