Magee's pharmacy benefit is administered in-house and retail. As an added advantage, you as an employee can purchase prescription drugs at the Jefferson Outpatient Pharmacies in 5 locations and a Drop- off/Pick-up on site at your fingertips.

Your Prescription Drug Benefits

You and your family automatically receives coverage under the Prescription Drug Plan when you enrollee in either of the medical plans options. You as an employee are encouraged, but not required to use the Jefferson Outpatient Pharmacies to fill prescriptions. All maintenance prescriptions must be filled at the Jefferson Outpatient Pharmacies. You are required to purchase generic drugs when available; otherwise, you must pay the difference in the cost between the generic and brand name drug along with applicable co-pay.

You can purchase up to a 34 day supply at any retail pharmacy chains/ stores that participates in the network. Your pharmacy benefits is bundled with the medical option, regardless of which health insurance plan is chosen. Benefits are provided for any covered prescription drug filled by a licensed retail pharmacy. OptumRX administers a 4-tier formulary co-payment plan. The retail co-payments for a 34 day supply are shown in the grid below.
