The Inpatient Seating Clinic Technician is responsible for working closely with the OT and PT Inpatient Seating Clinic Advanced Clinicians. This person also closely collaborates with staff OTs and PTs, vendors, manufacturing reps, patients, and families. This role is integral in providing clinical services to people who are inpatient at the main hospital. Primary accountabilities for individual in this role include assisting the Inpatient Seating Clinician PT and OT with seating, positioning, and equipment problem solving with inpatients, setting up equipment trials for patients, completing safety checks for patients trialing new wheelchair set ups, in addition to other clinical and mentorship roles. Candidates for this position must be competent in advanced manual wheelchair set-up, competent to complete basic wheelchair programming of power wheelchairs, and competent in basic aspects of other assistive technology options. Individuals considered for this role must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and lift in order to effectively assist patients. They must be able to exert 50 pounds of force while lifting patients and/or devices or have reasonable accommodations and must be able to have sufficient standing balance to guard ambulatory patients. Weekday, weekend and holiday hours may be required.

Position Requirements:
1. Demonstrates advanced clinical skills, knowledge, and competency in specialty area.
2. Possesses work skills, including effective communication, organization, initiative, interpersonal relations, and flexibility.
Education: Associates degree or Bachelors degree in health care or biomedical engineering field strongly preferred.
Licensures&Certifications: Must be CPR certified. Candidate must have or be eligible to work toward ATP certification within one year of accepting position.
Experience: At least three years clinical experience required in physical medicine and rehabilitation field. Prior experience with both wheelchairs and seating systems required (in either DME environment or rehab environm
