Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Holds Second Annual Dr. Guy Fried Educational Seminar

Magee Rehabilitation Hospital will host its Second-Annual Dr. Guy Fried Educational Seminar on Friday, June 8, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The seminar, as part of the Pennsylvania Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation's 2007 annual meeting, will focus on medications, procedures, and techniques in the treatment of patients with agitation and/or spasticity associated with head injury, chronic pain, spinal injury, and other neuromuscular conditions. Guest speakers will include Nathan Zasler, M.D., of Concussion Care Centre of Virginia; Michael Saulino, M.D., Ph.D., of MossRehab; Gerald Herbinson, M.D., of Jefferson Medical College; and Todd Bernstein, M.D., of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital.

The speakers will address topics such as "Independent Medical Evaluations: From A to Z," What's New in Intrathecal Therapy for Pain and Spasticity," "Ulnar Neuropathies," and "Managing Agitation."

The educational seminar is sponsored by The Tuttleman Family Foundation and named after Guy W. Fried, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Magee.
