Starting Friday, November 21, some of the most competitive wheelchair rugby teams from as far away as Florida, New Hampshire, New York, Connecticut, and North Carolina will be rolling into the Riverwinds Community Center in West Deptford, New Jersey to battle for bragging rights as the best of the bestӔ.

Get ready for the Beast of the East tournament.

"The Beast" as its known to players, is a three-day tournament hosted by Magee Rehabilitation Hospital's wheelchair rugby team, the Magee Eagles, who will be there not just to play, but to winif play is the right word.

Wheelchair Rugby is a full contact, sometimes violent competition played by individuals who are quadriplegic on a basketball court with a volleyball. The rules are similar to hockey and basketball, making for a very fast-paced, physical game.

Friday, November 21    2:30pm-10:00pm
Saturday, November 22,  8:00am-6:00pm
Sunday, November 23 8:00am-3:00pm
