Philadelphia, Pa--Hireability is nonprofit organization that helps people with disabilities obtain competitive jobs and employers to find often overlooked talent. On Wednesday, October 1, they will host a breakfast and informative presentation for employers at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, located at 16th and Race.

The presentation will focus on assistive technology, which includes assistive, adaptive, and rehabilitative devices which promote greater independence for people with disabilities by enabling them to perform tasks that they were formerly unable to accomplish, or had great difficulty accomplishing.

"Assistive technology, in all its forms, can really open up the job market for people with disabilities," said Hireability Director, Richard Massaro. "But only if employers know that it exists. Once they do, an entire pool of talented employees becomes accessible to them. We hope the presentation and breakfast will help with that."

Employers interested in attending the breakfast and learning more about assistive technology should speak with Richard Massaro or Doug Pettus at 215-587-3080.
