Magee Rehabilitation Hospital's Wheelchair Sports teams are some of the best around, traveling to—and placing highly if not winning—tournaments throughout the country.

Between August and December, the wheelchair tennis, basketball, rugby and power soccer teams will be hosting tournaments locally in Philadelphia and New Jersey where they will compete against some of the best teams in the country.

The wheelchair rugby team will also be hosting a scrimmage/clinic for those who might be interested in joining the team.

The tournaments and clinic are open to the public.

August 13-15 – Magee Classic Wheelchair Tennis Tournament (Cherry Hill Racket Club)

August 28-29 – Wheelchair Rugby Clinic/Scrimmage (Carousel House in Fairmount Park)

October 30th – Magee Invitational Power Soccer Tournament (University of the Sciences in Philadelphia)

November 13-15 – Beast of the East Wheelchair Rugby Tournament (Riverwinds, NJ)

December 4-5 – Sullivan Classic Wheelchair Basketball Tournament (Riverwinds, NJ)


Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, founded in 1958, is a 96-bed specialty medical rehabilitation hospital providing physical and cognitive rehabilitation services. Magee’s flagship facility is located in Center City Philadelphia. In addition to the main campus that offers comprehensive services for spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, orthopedic replacement, amputation, pain management and work injury, Magee provides an expanding out-patient network serving the surrounding communities.
